7.00PM - ST. FLANNAN’S CATHEDRAL, Killaloe
EVENING CONCERT - Life Stories (Dvořák, Smetana, Shaw, Daly).
The opening concert combines literary and music influences, with a theme of life stories. Dvořák and Smetana’s sublime romanticism are complemented by newer works by Caroline Shaw and Diane Daly.
10.00PM - ST. FLANNAN’S CATHEDRAL, Killaloe
LATE NIGHT CONCERT - Tavener ‘Towards Silence’ for Four Quartets and Tibetan Bowl
Immerse yourself in the meditative beauty of Tavener’s music, presented in acoustic surround sound in the outer nave of the cathedral, accompanied by a multimedia art presentation.

COFFEE CONCERT - Quartets in the Conservatory
Two of Ireland’s finest young quartets perform in the idyllic setting of the Lakeside, overlooking Killaloe.

FAMILY EVENT - Musicians of the Future
Young musicians from the locality perform.
7.00pm - ST. FLANNAN’S CATHEDRAL, Killaloe
EVENING CONCERT - Drama and Serenity (Bach, Shostakovich, Bruch)
Shostakovich's passionate and tragic String Quartet No. 8 is bookended by the serenity of unaccompanied Bach. The second half contains one of the most popular pieces in the chamber music repertoire - Bruch's Octet.

LATE NIGHT CONCERT - Camille O’Sullivan
A rare chance to enjoy one of Ireland’s most astounding vocalists in the atmospheric and intimate setting of the cathedral, with pianist Feargal Murray.

The final of the flagship concerts at St Flannans has a spring in its step, featuring Boccherini’s Fandango quartet and a celebration of Argentinian Tango music.

LATE NIGHT CONCERT - Karan Casey and Festival Friends
The renowned folk singer comes to the festival for the first time in a mixed programme, incorporating festival guests.
